Monsoon has showered its love on entire Maharashtra including Mumbai. Heavy rains have been falling in Mumbai and its suburbs for the past few days. Due to this, train services have been disrupted. Due to heavy rains on Sunday night, water has flooded railway tracks at many places. In such a situation, many local trains have been cancelled. At the same time, local services are running at a slow pace at some places. Due to this, Mumbaikars have had to face a lot of trouble in the morning.
Where is the local affected?
– On Central Railway, Karjat-Khopoli, Kasara to CSMT locals are running only till Thane and have been cancelled further.
– The railway track at Bhandup station is flooded. This has affected the Central Railway line.
– Local trains on the Harbour route have been cancelled due to waterlogging on the railway track at Kurla-Mankhurd station.
– Due to waterlogging in Wadala too, the Goregaon-CSMT local has been completely shut down till further notice.

Heavy rain alert for next 3-4 days
The weather department has predicted more heavy rains in the entire state including Mumbai in the next 3-4 days. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada from July 8 to July 10.
Heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday
Mumbai and suburbs have been receiving heavy rains since Saturday. This has caused waterlogging in many areas. Local train services in Mumbai have been disrupted due to the heavy rains. Local services were also affected at some places on Sunday. In Thane district adjoining Mumbai, local services were suspended between Kasara and Titwala stations due to a tree falling on the track. There was an incident of hill soil falling on the track between Kalyan and Kasara and the pillar supporting the OHE getting tilted. The track is submerged in the Panvel-Kalamboli area.
