“F1” Teaser: Brad Pitt to Star in Director of “Top Gun: Maverick” Formula 1 Racing Film

Start your engines: the teaser for the highly anticipated Formula 1 racing film, “F1,” starring Brad Pitt, has debuted. Damson Idris is also a star of the Apple Original Films production.

In the film, Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver who rejoins the sport and works as a partner and mentor with rookie Joshua Pearce (Idris) for the fictitious APXGP team. The remaining cast members for the racing movie are Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. Bardem plays the APXGP squad leader.

Filming for “F1” has taken place at real Formula 1 races, including the British Grand Prix from the previous year, the Rolex 24 at Daytona this January, and more.
